The Beginning

As part of this estimate, we’ll give you a time frame of when we expect to complete the job. There are a few different circumstances that can cause unexpected delays, but we try to take these into account just in case.
Draining Your Pool for the Remodeling
So you’ve decided to stick with Cre8stone! Great choice! Let’s get the process started.
First things first, we need to drain your pool. We’re good, but not so good we can work underwater (yet)!
What we’ll do is place a submersible pump into your pool, with a pipe leading to the street so your backyard doesn’t get swamped. Depending on how big your pool is, the draining process can take anywhere from 6 to 12 hours.
Preparing the Surface
This is where things get interesting. Other contractors will start by chipping out whatever surface material you’ve already got in and around your pool. However, Cre8stone has a unique process that saves time and money – benefits that are directly passed on to our customers.
We only use the best materials, which are lightweight and able to adhere to concrete, tile, pebble aggregate, ceramic tile, pool deck, and more.
For this reason, we don’t need to tear anything out – less mess, less fuss! All we need to do is skip the usual tear out step and go straight from draining to preparing the surface by making sure it’s as clean as possible.
Stone Pool “Tiling”
As part of our initial conversations with you, we’ll have ascertained what type of stone patterns you want us to use for your pool remodeling.

Refilling Your Pool
After making sure the (very little) mess left behind after laying your new stone pool overlays is cleaned up, we’ll call you over. We feel it’s very important for homeowners to be present when the pool is being refilled with water.
Depending on the size of your pool, this can take anywhere from 12 to 48 hours to complete. Unless you only just moved in, you’ll have done this before, so you’ll know exactly how long your taps will be turned on for.
Don’t worry, though – we won’t be hovering around billing you for this time. Once we oversee the taps getting turned on, we’ll leave you to it.
Just remember: you don’t want to close the water flow until your pool is properly full. If you do, you’ll end up with waterlines forming on the inside – which takes away from the beauty of the stone remodeling.
What Homeowners Should Do During & After a Stone Pool Remodeling
Leave the heavy lifting to us – there are just 3 basic tasks you need to perform as the homeowner:
- Confirm the color, design, and pattern of the stone overlays before we get started with the installation. We haven’t gotten it wrong before, but it’s always good practice to have an official seal of approval from the homeowner. This is especially important when you request a custom accent style.
- Keep an eye on your water level when refilling your pool. As mentioned earlier, you don’t want to shut the taps prematurely and end up with a waterline below the surface! You also don’t want an overflowing pool, either.
- Maintain your pool water’s pH levels as you would normally.
